To access the programming port on a Kandi 4P/6P or Coleman DP48V golf cart, begin by lifting the seat to expose the battery compartment. If necessary, you can remove the controller cover for better access.
If your cart is equipped with Lead Acid or AGM batteries, look for the programming port underneath the black cover positioned between the seats. It could be accessible from either the driver’s or passenger’s side.
In the case of carts with lithium batteries, you’ll find the port on the driver’s side within the battery section.
Models from the years 2022 to 2023 will have a programming port that accommodates a 2-pin AMP connector. For the 2024 models, a 6-pin AMP connector is standard. Always remember to detach the weather shield connector before you connect the programmer to prevent any damage.
If there’s any confusion, a quick check can be done by looking at the colors of the two wires that extend from the controller for programming purposes as seen in the second picture above. The pair of wires at the front-most part of the cart is used for programming.
