Linear throttle response on E10K UTV

Just bought a Kandi E10K UTV and am pretty impressed with what it offers for the cost. I am also pretty unimpressed with some “simple” oversights.

  1. Throttle response is not linear AT ALL. You can push the pedal halfway and get nothing, then you get 100%. This is due to a couple of factors (by my estimation): the ohm-range is too great for the purpose (assuming this is the style of control) and (maybe more importantly) there is a significant delay in response.

  2. No remote for the winch. This presents a safety concern (being the path of a broke cable under tension) and a usage concern (reeling in the line with no tension and not knowing when the cable is fully wound.

  3. Well known screen delays and oddities. I hope this can be fixed via firmware update at some point.

Only had it a few days, so there’s likely more coming.

Very interested in responses to this topic as I have not purchased a E10K yet because I require 55MPH speed in order to do some limited road travel back and forth to a campground we own. I really want to purchase this UTV, but it’s just falling a little short as is and so I am hoping to be able to tune it myself to increase the top end speed on the road.

Hey there. Im reaching out thinkin you might be able to help me i have a thread on the tech side
Thanks Rawdy Ron

You’re braver than I am… 40+ in this cart is pretty sketchy. The steering geometry and overall vehicle awkwardness wouldn’t fair well at 55mph. If you do manage to make this change (I suspect you’re going to run out of rpm or final drive gear ratio), you should absolutely consider road tires.

Please put a link to the thread. I don’t see anything related…
